As a fan I will always watch as it’s a fun sport heading more into skill which is fun to see. As a flames fan, I don’t care about Burkes view that fans should always want their team to win. I want them to lose the next few years to build through the draft instead of piecing together a hodgepodge team through trades and FA signings. Gotta build a sustainable winner and that’s done solely through the draft in my mind. Rushing it seems to be ownership wanting things to happen beyond the natural progression of how things should happen. Most fans see that and I suspect the more this happens more fans feel duped and support will sag.
