Sutter was extended for 2 years starting next season right after his Jack Adams. So if everyone's happy paying him for that time frame, great.

There's more than "some paperwork" and or being "happy paying him"....there is a penalty to the owners of multiple millions of dollars annually. That isn't something that (most) people do "just because" they're OK with paying someone to do nothing.
If Murray Edwards is happy paying Darryl to do nothing, then that's his prerogative...but it's not ours.
