If he was the best goalie on the ice, He would have stopped the 3rd shot it hit his glove, its not like he got sniped. When Markstrom had a chance to win the game by making a stop he failed. When Saros had a chance for his team to win the game, he stopped the shot.
Huberdeau put Markstrom in a position to Succeed, Flames had the lead in the shootout. Markstrom stopped 2 of 4 Saros stopped 3 of 4.
Anderson didn't flub it, in OT it hit the defenders stick. IMO the Flames had the better chances in OT, Saros stopped them.

Raise the puck. Score the goal. Is it Markstrom's fault the Flames had better chances in OT? Should the Flames have allowed more chances so he could be "the better goalie"?
One more time: Saros was praised for giving his team a chance to win. So, then, did Markstrom. I couldn't care less who hould be called the better goalie. Last year Oettinger was arguably the better goalie in round one. Who cares?
