As for your last point...I imagine almost every negative poster on here wants the best for this franchise. We just believe the direction this team is in is not in the best interest for the franchise. So no, I don't think there's anything odd about it. I struggle to cheer for a team that has no shot at winning the cup. I'd like to believe in "the direction" we're taking. I don't see a path to the cup anywhere close. Sure I still would have liked to see some playoff hockey, but ultimately, I knew where this was gonna end.

Personally I don't have a problem dissecting a failed season and looking at what went wrong.
Some blame Markstorm.
Some blame Sutter.
Some blame the new forwards.
Some assign a mix.
But I've never understood that need to rehash decades of results and at the same time also put shade on the future first round draft pick coming up.
Like honestly?
This season sucked.
We've always sucked.
We will always suck.
That's not adding a whole lot to the conversation in my mind.
