Out of the big names, I get the impression that only Koepka and Reed are really putting work in to still be competive. Phil can conjure up some magic at places like Augusta apparently, but his days are likely numbered as he gets into his 50s.

Bryson, DJ and Cam Smith are still in majors for a while and have recently been very good, but it seems that tournament golf is not the highest priority for any of them any more.

Outside of those guys, who else really is compelling to see in the majors? I don't see liv generating new up and coming stars.
Well that is their issue for sure, where is the next batch of talent.

But I suppose it would be cheaper to buy young, lesser known talent if that is what they choose to do. The issue then is how those guys qualify for the majors and you can see why LIV so badly needs a path for qualification. And why the Tour doesn’t want them to have it.

For LIV to be relevant, it needs staying power. Otherwise it’s just a temporary blip where we’ll only see certain players four times a year.

But a US open featuring Rory vs. Bryson down the stretch would be interesting as hell. Or say Scheffler vs. Reed.
