Echoing some of the other opinions, but I think Phillips is going to be looking for his easiest path to the NHL. I think the Chicago Wolves will have a very difficult time signing any AAAA AHL players.
My “homer” Wrangler view would like to see him sign a similar contract that the Blackhawks did with Luke Philp. 2-way deal with higher guaranteed AHL salary.
With Minnesota being in cap jail from the two buyouts for the upcoming couple seasons… I wouldn’t be shocked to see him get a look there on a league minimum 1-way deal.
