well I do think you can look at these things from different angles. Of course you can't take politics out of the equation, but that is also true on the other side of the aisle and was especially true during Trumps time in office. Lots of GOP politicians would probably concede behind closed doors that Trump should have faced consequences for January 6 and so on, but he evaded that purely because of politics.
Does Alvin Bragg have ulterior motives? I honestly don't know, but it's more than possible. But playing the indictment down by calling it nothing more than a political witch hunt isn't exactly helpful because it conveniently distracts from the fact that we wouldn't be here if Trump hadn't done criminal or at least shady things that give ammunition to these DAs.
