Funny thing is if it weren't for politics being, well, what it is these days, and it creeping into seemingly every facet of life, no one would even know what my political leanings were around here. Well, that's not entirely true, I've been called out as a right winger for my location without even expressing a political view. But that is a relatively recent trend. I remember when this board was about hockey and politics was something reserved for another CP board. I didn't go there because quite frankly I don't know or care about Canadian politics.
But now that some here think I'm "one of them" (whatever their bogeyman of choice might be, mine is Bob Boughner), they will do their best to make sure I don't forget it. As they say, the flack only gets heavy when you're over the target.

The “funny thing” is this isn’t politics. It’s basic human decency, supporting a group which has been marginalized, abused, literally beaten and killed, and kept down for most of their existence, simply because of who they are.
