The question starts becoming whether or not the Flames are willing to retain salary, consider a buyout or accept another bad contract back in a trade moreso than whether or not Kadri wants to waive.
You can almost guarantee that he's going to be open to a move after this last half of the season and the potential of another year under Sutter. You can't have the player back in the fold if he's pulling this again next season. It's at the point now where it is blatantly obvious that he's quit on the team and not just a case of a bad game or bad play.
A team and fans can accept a bad season to a degree, but when you have the season on the line and you are basically going through the motions and bailing on very critical plays that end up costing the team games, it's time to cut bait with the player and move on.
