I think we regret that trade. Hanifin keeps getting better. He has been our best player the past couple games IMO. He is 26 so his next contract will cover his peak years. But his stats don't equate to an absurdly pricey deal. He is probably in the Mackenzie Weegar area of contract value (~$7m?).

Hanifin and Lindholm are the two key pieces that get traded this summer as the team rebuilds, if the team rebuilds.
Losing those two players would significantly hurt this team and tank them in the standings for 2023/2024 - and they would both also return significant packages.
I'm not sure either guy will choose to re-sign here either. Steinberg has made comment a few times this season that the organization does not see/have the feeling that Lindholm re-signing is a sure thing. If both players aren't signing an extension this July 1, then they should both be traded. You can't risk either of those guys walking to free agency in 2024.
