I think that some of the 'Hawk players are "trying out" for contracts on other teams. Rumors have Tyler Johnson returning to Tampa, for example. And for some, this late season run out, may represent the whole of their top level careers. Effort has not been the problem, and if taken lightly, things may not go to the Front Office plan. That said, however, that very Front Office seems to have made some moves to ensure a tank. Joey Anderson has had a couple of games where he was the best guy on the ice, so, when Toews was ready to finish out his career, Anderson was the one waived.
