See, where’s the proof of this? I see so many posts like this, but how do we know it wasn’t management’s idea to keep Tkachuk’s cap hit lower so they had more cap space to add/keep depth.
That’s I’m bringing up 2019. He was happy here after that 2019 season for all the reasons I listed. Do you guys think it was always his dream to bolt to the perennially terrible Florida Panthers at the time? It’s easy to say he wanted this all along, but I don’t see the motives to leave back in 2019. There were no rumors, no talk, no smoke, no fire. He was beloved here at the time and I think he wanted to be a Flame for a long time until 2021 changed his mind.
