Yeah Tkachuk's stride is ugly and he isn't blowing past anyone but it doesn't hurt him really much at all. If he had that kind of speed he would be generational imo. But now he just goes into the front of the net, takes the beating and tips pucks in. And shoots like a maniac which is refreshing.
He's played with a lot of different players this year and elevated all of them, just yesterday he was put with Lundell and Luostarinen and they were immediately the best line again even though Lundell is going through a massive sophmore slump. No idea where the Panthers would be without him, Barkov has been ass offensively almost the entire year, Ekblad has fallen off the cliff and Bob is bad Bob again. So few bright spots on that team this year.
Oh yeah and that Maurice guy is a total charlatan, how he's managed to have a job so long in the nhl is puzzling.
