Maybe the windows would help reheating costs, perhaps replacing the major appliances will get me some extra savings there. My home is older and needs new furnace, windows, fridges that aren't over 20 years old and we have WFH but no EV... so I don't mind seeing like 10-30% more energy, but 50-70% is completely crazy. I even filled in the energy IQ questions. I definitely need an energy audit, but the only other possibility I can think of is that Enmax is lumping my home with other "similar homes" that are 10-20% smaller which amplifies the extra energy usage situation?

is it the electrical or nat gas portion that's driving up your useage compared to similar homes? In my previous house, I always scored less than average comparative energy consumption until I added a gas heater in the garage - although it didnt really increase the gas consumption *that much* it was enough to push the property onto the high end of the enmax comparisons
