Those crapping on Sutter the GM need to remember how bad of shape the team was when he took over. They had a small cheap scouting staff and split AHL team. So there was a lot of foundational work done that allowed the team to get better in those area's. His drafting was pretty poor and the last deals were bad. I don't want him back as GM, but in his time as GM, he traded for 4 guys who all had 75 or more points as a Flame and only inherited one. Thus far Treliving has traded for 1, inherited two in Monahan and Gaudreau and drafted one in Tkachuck.
