Lindholm at $4.85M for next year should net us an absolute haul. I've felt for a few years that it made much more sense to sell Backlund for a lesser return just based on age and projecting the roster forward another 3-5 years but I'm starting to see the logic in trading Lindholm especially if it's true that he's not committed to staying in Calgary. Also opens up a spot at 3C for a young guy to come in and develop once Kadri and Backlund slide up.
With the weak UFA class this summer is is possible we see another Draft Day trade for Lindholm? Would make the most sense at the 2023 draft considering there's ton's of Center's available in this draft who project as top-6 or top line guys.
Also, maybe he talks this way about every team but jeez, Seravalli gets pretty fired up talking about the Flames and what's gone wrong lol.
