I liked the last two episodes of Picard way more than any of the other episodes of the series. There are still a lot of flaws, but I can enjoy the show.

On to speculation...

I don't think any of the non-stolen items in the Daystrum institute will mean anything other than an Easter Egg/call back. I mean they didn't steal it. Although I find it very weird that they would have Picard and Kirk's remains.

So what do we know:
- The bad guys got Picard's body and want his son Jack alive
- Jack has inherited Picard's space Alzheimer's
- Jack has visions, sometimes his eyes glow red and he goes Borne Identity and shoots the changelings
- The changelings are still all hung up on the federation using biological warfare against them.
- Something is planned for Frontier Day with all the federation ships
- Starfleet's new ships all talk to each other.
- Oh, and we are likely going to see the Enterprise D again.

My guess is they are going to somehow take control of all the ships forcing the former crew to get the Enterprise D to save the day. The Titan Captain made a comment about dumping the saucer section on some planet. So it was likely recovered. Bringing all the crew back is the ultimate fan service.

I'm still not sure about the Picard/Jack Crusher thing. The red eyes do make me think Pah Wraiths are involved. There were rumors of Sisko coming back. Maybe there is something about Picard and Jack's biology that makes them good hosts.

I find it really strange that they're effectively blatantly stealing Star Trek: Prodigy's entire plot and attributing it to a new villain?

Of course Enterprise D or a Galaxy-Class will come in and save the day unless they just snag the Stargazer or the New Jersey.

Oh, and Avery Brooks hasnt done anything in almost 20 years and that man is legit crazy.
