We don't even know if Tkachuk has the type of season he did last year if he signed a 10 million 8 year deal.
Its evident he did not want to be in Calgary and set himself up to control his future and he has said so.
Maybe Calgary would have been in the cards in the offseason if we made him the face of the franchise but clearly that was not going to happen with Darryl Sutter here.
So he used the leverage he wanted when he signed the deal to leave.
What more do you want Brad to do? Overpay guys by 3-4 million per year and look like a fool and pushover?
