Yep.
At this point, it's really not a tradeable contract without taking back something comparable. Maybe in a year or two when the cap increases, but then team trading for him is only getting the worst years of the deal.
Signing veteran UFA's is always a massive risk. There is generally not much of an escape route.
As other have said, best hope is he shows up as a different player next year.
