The WWE machine made them what they are and good for them for taking advantage. They also allowed the Bella's to take credit for the give divas a chance movement that lead to bigger roles for woman event though it was AJ Lee that did it.
So they're opportunists. I always gave credit to the Bella Twins for working hard to improve in the ring, but they were never elite as workers nor on the mic. They were marketable.
Do they go to AEW and soak up a few million dollars and we see another set of WWE castoffs that claimed that WWE was holding them back, when it turns out that WWE was the only reason why they were halfway decent? Sure.
If the Bellas can thrive without the WWE pushing them then good for them, god bless, pass the dynamite.
