I think the difference is with Kadri, effort isn't the issue. Most of the time, he is giving it his all. How he is applying that effort could be judged, but I don't doubt his commitment level. He is also producing to expectations. He is just paid at a UFA rate.
With Huberdeau, he gives you about 50% in a typical game.
