From a coaching stand point the offensive zone is more of a F1, F2 and F3 thing with flexibility on the rush and the attack.

It's more about being on your offside in the defensive zone which can actually help some players (Tkachuk sees the ice better on his offside with his body open to his defenseman).

So curious what he's talking about.

My mind's eye sees him shooting and taking passes on the left side in the offensive zone regardless of where they draw up the lines.
Listen to his interview it you haven't he explained how in the D zone it's easier to take rims but when in the offensive zone be felt like he was in his backhand which isn't comfortable for him and he closed off his shoulder.
