I saw one instance of this in the 3rd where Huberdeau passed it to Kadri where he skates to the right point, while Huberdeau slips past his defender and made himself available for a return pass on the left slot...wide open with a clear passing lane that Kadri could clearly see.
What does Kadri do? He shoots it at the net where both Ritchie and a defender are in front, hoping for a screen shot or a tip. The shot is blocked by that mass of humanity and the puck goes the other way. Huberdeau had an easy tap in if Kadri makes the right play.
This could be a factor of Kadri following the coach's game plan too, or it's just really poor awareness. Either way, this #### is simply not working.
