Hemsky was always like 'great a breakout pass, I've got Regehr covering me but I bet I can beat him wide'. And then he'd just get killed.
And then 10 shifts later he'd be like 'great a breakout pass, I've got Regehr covering me but I bet I can beat him wide'. And he'd just get killed again. Once every blue moon dude slipped through, and while that often lead to goals (assists for Hemsky) those moments were certainly few and far between.
I never thought he was soft anywhere but the head. Why would anyone ask for so much punishment. Also, Regehr was a gift and I'd love to see someone pick up where he left off.
