This revelation about Tucker's character is hardly newsworthy. You can tell he was built this way going back to his Crossfire days. You knew he didn't believe a word of what he was saying because it was obviously so preposterous, but the show was built on creating a conflict, hence the name "Crossfire".
If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at CNN for employing him to be "that guy" in the first place. Their desire for ratings way back in the day makes them complicit in all this.
