I would hope that he wasn't caught up in the financing aspect of it. But he shouldn't have needed to, he was a safe MP for the Libs in any election. It'll be interesting to see why he's stepping down. Is he stepping away out of protest? Bad Health? He won the Lottery? I doubt we'll ever know, I doubt he would ever blast the party on the way out. And its not a smart move for the Libs to throw him under the bus.

I once liked him, before he became one of the typical slavering toadies of the Trudeau government. He sold out. If he was going to resign out of protest, he would have done it years ago. Now he's just another rat deserting a sinking ship.
Nufy is right. He'll probably at least become a Senator for his loyalty to the Trudeau brand.
