Nothing to do with winning or not. Teams that have checked out do not put out that kind of effort nor react the way they did.

Just about every statistic, both counting and analytical, would suggest this group has been involved all year, but simply have been unable to finish or get adequate goaltending the majority of the season.
Or do you have some insight that tells you different?

I would think it would be tough to quit on your coach and still put up top five share metrics across the board.
That's execution, not effort. It's been the case all season.
