The entire board calls Markstrom all sorts of things, I can't call a player's play garbage? Relative to what he was previously, he has been garbage. People can make a bunch of excuses, he's being paid to make other players, and the whole team, better. There's a different standard for his play vs basically every other team member.

It’s pretty offensive - essentially saying someone ought to be thrown out and discarded like trash. And no, there’s no different standard, just observations of what happens during play. You are looking at points, I’m looking at what happens on the ice.
