I'm assuming the plan is next spring they sell off the UFAs if they're in the same position, because they're still sold on the group's potential and want to give it a second chance
But you JUST know if the situation is the same they'll retain a few of them just in case playoffs happen, and those UFAs will walk a couple months later for zilch
Players have more value when there's an extra year of term. Should have taken advantage of the madness earlier this week. Although not mathematically, it's been intellectually over for about 9-12 days now
A 1-2 round exit this or next year will not be worth what they'll surrender in talent that they could have plucked from this draft. So near-sighted
