The other option is to see how the season goes. If goaltending improves the Flames are almost automatic for the POsz. If they don’t then yeah, trade the pending UFAs.

Thats the other part of the problem I'm getting at. They might be good, and then they could easily walk 1/4 of the team to UFA. They've put themselves in a weird spot.
