In the summer, you can give them permission to talk contract with another team, which might max out the value. I highly doubt you could get more for Toffoli or Hanifin now than in the summer.

Do you think owners will let the team trade Toffoli / Lindholm / Tanev / Hanifin this summer when the mandate will be to make the playoffs next season (hope for better goaltending).
I think they missed a huge opportunity. Could have added a mid-late 1st + for Hanifin and / or Toffoli and then maybe signed a 2nd pairing D and hoped for some development from Pelletier or Coronato. Then you would also have a 1st in a strong draft.
Maybe they still deal those guys for 1sts at the draft but typically teams pay less for roster guys at the draft and more at the deadline. This summer lots of teams will be selling roster players for cap management.
Edit - forgot to add, not sure how Lewis wasn't dealt for a late pick. Unless 0 playoff teams were interested in him.
