If the value isn't there you don't just trade for the sake of trading, I get and can appreciate that. Hopefully they are countering any offers with aggressive acceptable value though to see if others will move and not just sitting there saying "not good enough" and remaining silent.
I'm okay with no moves if the value isn't there. Still stings that this process didn't start at least 10 days ago, doesn't sound / look like it did, and it was obvious this team was where we would be back then. Heck, back in December it was obvious, so disappointing they take forever to get to the obvious.
If there's one thing this management team needs to do, it's get with the program and have some courage to use their instincts and insight to make some moves before time runs out and value severely erodes. Now the Flames are going to look to do similar moves at the draft and the picks will be valued way higher and you're just not going to get the same value.
