Its been awhile since I've watched DS9. Odo was fine without going back to the Great Link and didn't dissolve into putty. He just needed to go back to his bucket every now and then.

So why did the emo-changeling go into withdrawl from not being with the Great Link? If he really was a changeling he could have ducked into an alley and turned into a bird and fly away like Odo often did.

I hated the dynamic between Picard and Riker but I'm okay if he's a changeling. If Riker was a changeling it would explain how the changeling rebels knew the Titan would be involved in finding Jack Crusher and put an agent on the Titan as well. The scene from episode 1 where potentially changeling Riker does a clear double-take at seeing the other changeling - I don't know how to interpret it. They can sense each other but it seems like he was surprised. This could mean that changling Riker is either not in the loop as part of the rebel cell - or he's a different changeling altogether - maybe a "good guy"?
