I'm going the other way at this point.
Teams that have success tend to lean into unexpected bad seasons. This org's problem is we always try to "salvage" bad seasons just to get into the playoffs.
Shut down guys with any injuries, bring up some young guys, and try to lean into a top 10 pick.
Even if you're not selling that's likely your best way to get a piece that could help in the near future. Especially in this draft. Look at how Perfetti is already helping the Jets, Lundell in Florida, or Jarvis with Carolina. Beating the Jets in the bubble was fun...but in hindsight would have been better if we didn't and got the top 12 pick instead.
Even if they decide to re-sign Lindholm, Hanifin etc. They only way this team can win is if guys like Pelletier, Zary, Wolf, Coronato, and their top 15 pick this year can be impact guys in the next 2-3 seasons.
But at the same time if they go on a crazy 16-6 run and get into the playoffs I'm not going to be mad...that would be some crazy momentum to get us into the playoffs.
