My guess is Treliving has set his prices. If a team meets that price then they will make the move. If not then no issue because you have the draft, or next years deadline.
It's a bit different than say Tarasenko and O'Reilly where they were UFAs this year and had to move now.
Or even like an Ekholm where part of that is also the Preds maybe wanting to cash in on an overpayment, and get rid of the back half of that contract.
The unfortunate part is I think if they were honest with themselves a week ago and had already started to think about shopping some of these guys that I think they could have maybe gotten a huge overpayment when the Eastern Conference was going a bit crazy over the weekend and yesterday.

I think you are correct in your assessment. The Flames are probably not going to be very active unless someone overpays. I think that most of the teams wanting to buy at any cost at the deadline for those prices have spent their cap space. There are a few more teams looking to buy but I suspect that these are more grinding negotiations.
