Everyone is talking about keeping Lindholm, or any other player for that matter, what makes you think that he would want to stay? I simply don't see the appeal for players to stay in Calgary after this season.
That's the least fun I've seen a team have in a while. Imagine putting in the work and still losing the majority of your games, being unable to comeback when trailing after 40. Letting first shots/chances in a quarter of the games etc.
I think management should already do their best to find out which players they would be able to extend in the off-season and at what cap number. Otherwise they should use the Carolina approach that cap space and assets are more valuable than an overpaid player.
