That would suggest there is still a market for him, and broader faith that he can rebound.

If it is - the Flames should be jumping over themselves to make the trade. Regardless if Markstrom rebounds next year - very likely the contract ends up as a boat anchor by the end of it.

There just aren't many 30+ goalies who start in the league any more. Fleury - who's meh, Talbot - also meh, Quick - terrible and traded, Bobrovsky - contract boat anchor; Jones - Meh.

You are basically looking at Craig Anderson (who's 41 and a freak) and Darcy Kuemper as guys who'd you count on at this point.
