I would have rather traded Tkachuk for Necas+ than have a bunch of other rentals that we either walk to free agency in a good year or get draft picks for in a bad year. In my opinion the Florida deal only made sense if you extended the players coming in otherwise chase the futures deal for Tkachuk.
