You can move in close and fake a low shot. And the goalie basically has to commit to the butterfly early because he’s lost ability to cover fivehole without it.
Ideally the other guy can drive the far post, and if the D man doesn’t take him completely, a low shot far pad will generate an automatic rebound, again with no stick to deflect the puck up or away.
Horrendous decision by Huberdeau. Him not lifting his head to notice the stickless Ullmark makes a lot of sense for him though.
