Okay, but you’re now projecting what you think people should feel in this given scenario and again infantilizing women. I think if you look at the number of people who are using transit, it paints a different picture than this “we’re all being terrorized by intoxicated bottle collectors and can’t use public transit and we’re going to be assaulted” hyperbole. I mean, in reality the biggest annoyances that occur on anywhere on public transit aren’t some one-off inebriated guys slumped over or doing drugs; it’s the people who act like the ones being described in the GG thread on airplanes. I’d rather sit next to the guy trying to light his crack pipe than the guy playing candy crush with the volume up high or whose EDM is bleeding through his headphones.
