If you have 29 year old Elias Lindholm giving you near-Selke level Centre play for Less than a max-bonus ELC, that’s worth more than Lindholm at nearly $5M, as capped out as everyone is.
In hindsight, the Hamilton trade was probably a mistake - drafting any one of Barzal, Chabot or Connor would’ve been more useful long term.
