The way that Phillips plays, you would think that his problem would be injuries, because he doesn't shy away from a play the way that some smaller players do. In terms of defensive play, I'd say that he is average at best, but not a liability, which his offensive instincts more than make up for.
This is the only player that makes me feel as though the Darryl bias is a real thing, because I don't see the limitation.
