The team needs to get younger, wether that's this year or next year.
Flames can't re-sign all of backlund, tanev, toffoli, lindholm, zadorov and hanifin without seriously ####ing up their cap structure. Even if you're competing you need to pick half of these players to go forward with and half to move on from. Might as well decide now and see if you can get good value.
