Most people assume if we did sell the Toffoli's, Lindholms, Hanifins, etc (2024 UFA) would mean that we would end up sucking but that's not always the case. This team is better on paper than they are on the ice, and sometimes teams that are worse on paper end up better on the ice. Still can happen when you still have decent players on the roster which in our case, we still do.

The other thing is, it seems people assume that if you trade for picks you have to draft all of them. Teams are tossing picks away right now loading up, come draft day those picks become more valuable in trades.
Dach is an example of a good young player that was traded for a mid-first and 3rd (I think)
Sell Toffoli, call up Zary and see how he does. Also, you can explore selling some of the additional assets for cost controlled players in the summer or draft day.
Pelletier has already got the call and is making a positive impact. Zary won't immediately replace Toffoli but over time he can. Combine that with the team being one that is under performing we could be better next year anyways but have more assets and cap space.
