First nail in the coffin was the last eastern road trip with the regulation loss in detroit and the comeback by ottawa
They were on pace with the rest of the teams and still in striking distance in the pacific race before the trip deviated from plan
Second nail in the coffin was the Detroit and Philly losses at home. I think those two are what sealed their fate
Collect 1-2 points in those four games like they should and they're on pace for playoffs. Because they didn't now they're not.. and now the competition gets stiff
