Hopefully the Flames scouts are doing their homework on these two.
Gauthier is the son of former flame, Denis Gauthier. He's only 5'11", but he plays much bigger, as you would expect. He's a terror on the forecheck, battles hard, plays with energy and pace, and is a good 3-zone player. Skates very well, but needs to clean up some of his mechanics, to maximize his stride better. Good shot, but there's room for improvement. Best of all, he has a ton of creativity, IQ, and skill- very good 1-on-1 player, he can burn guys. Only thing that concerns me is that his numbers seem to be going down as the year goes on- could have something to do with Sherbrooke picking up Jakub Brabenec around the trade deadline. He's a sure-fire first-rounder in this year's draft, though, I'd say between 20-25. If he's anything like the rest of the Gauthier clan, he'll always show up strong and physically fit.

Don't know a whole lot about Gill, but it sounds like he's a C with size (can play wing as well), can play physical, and win faceoffs. His skating needs work, and it's likely the main reason he wasn't drafted, although his draft year was lockdown-shortened, and his numbers weren't great.
