Maybe its the transporter inhibiters you literally just set up? Which I'm guessing are Starfleet issue, and like all good Starfleet gear you should be able to interface and access any other piece of gear with it to ultimately save the day.
"The holodeck safeties are off and the Telerite delegation are at a 21st century all you can eat bean buffet! Quick, set the hypospray for 2.21 gigawatts, bypass the flux coils, and get a readout on their vital signs. We can replicate actual toilet paper with LCARS displays so they can jettison the warp core when they wipe! One time I got turned into a child, and when the Ferengi tried to steal the Enterprise I rerouted command functions through an Apple 2 in the grade three classroom!"
Also, wtf, Crusher? Naming your kid after their dead Dad is kind of sweet, but when it's fathered by the guy who was in command when he died its a whole new level of twisted. Especially when she didn't tell and let it go for 20 years. On some level if they had been together and then even divorced after I could see how that name might be actually really sweet. But as it is, the good doctor seems to be one sexually messed up lady. I mean, she banged a lamp ghost that used to shack up with her grandma, ffs.
Where does Jack Crusher's accent come from? Was he raised in the holodeck by the Peaky Blinders?
