Provided Meier goes to a team other than Carolina, they are the one team I could see making an offer for Lindholm. That said, I think the flames fully intend to extend Lindholm.
If it turns out Lindholm tells the Flames he is going to test the market in a little over a year from now, the Flames would be smart to wait until the summer where they could have several teams pitching offers.
I don’t see Lindholm being moved at the deadline under any plausible scenario.
