Sutter was brought in to help stabilize the team; he did that but I would say that the players that were brought in are not Sutter style players. I keep thinking that Sutter gets out coached but it’s a lot of the wrong players on the ice.

One scenario that I see is that the season plays out. Treliving is not in complete control. Treliving not renewed. New GM brought in and demands total control. Rebuilds entire hockey operations. Sutter gone as GM brings in new coaches. I think that Coach Q gets a long look for coach. He worked with the former panthers players.

New GM demands contract commitment from UFAs that he wants to keep. Trades ones that he doesn’t want and trades ones that won’t sign. Treliving should have done that but never ever did.

Treliving is gone before the draft.

Predictions? Lombardi as GM and Quenville as coach.
I’d be on board with that. Quenneville seemed to be respected by his players. The big Chicago thing aside, I’d have hoped he’s learned his lesson.
