It’s more likely you’ll get better value now, like right ####ing now when a team is staring a playoff race / berth in the face and see a high quality player like Lindholm available. This is the time a team will say “#### it, give them that extra pick / better prospect”.
You trade now you’re getting 1sts, 2nds, A prospects. You wait for draft you’re getting worse quality assets. This is basic asset management. Teams are desperate and want to win a cup not in the summer when they don’t know what they are next year yet. The fact these guys have another year on their deals makes them all the more valuable.
You need to blow it up / start making good deals yesterday. This season is done. Start trading.

There is an aspect of "wait to the summer" which makes sense and that's cap room opening up. Not all teams can take on contracts effectively this time of year. I wholeheartedly agree they should look to sell high starting now.
